How to Use
Tracker ( Live Tracker)
This feature is optional and excluded from all of the subscription plans.
The Marispeak Tracker is a small 4G / 5G tracker quickly and easily hardwired into your boat's electrical system. The tracker is ready to go once power is connected, and a telecommunications provider connects an active mobile sim plan. Pushing the app's Tracker (Live Track) button will instantly display your boat's current and last location. Feel safe knowing you're still where you left it, whether on a trailer, mooring, or Marina.
Speedometer
The speedometer display is located in the bottom left-hand corner of the map and shows your Speed in real-time.
The available units it can display are Knots, MPH, and KMPH. These can be found and set in the More tab on the home screen.
Marispeak Chart Plotter
The Marispeak Chart Plotter is a powerful tool for quickly recording and navigating your journey. It allows you to mark your starting point (Point A) and track your route with a red line as you move. Once you reach your destination, press "Off" on the chart plotter to set your endpoint (Point B).
After completing your journey, a notification will appear at the bottom of the screen, confirming that your route has been saved. A small blue-and-white "Replay" button will also appear in the bottom-right corner of the map. By clicking "Replay," you can review your journey and save it with a custom name for future reference.
AIS
The Marine AIS (Automatic Identification System) is a tracking system used on ships and vessels to improve maritime safety. It uses VHF radio frequencies to broadcast and receive data, including a vessel's position (via GPS), speed, heading, identification (MMSI number), and other navigational information. This data is transmitted periodically to other ships and shore-based stations, helping to prevent collisions, navigation aid, and enhance situational awareness. AIS is widely used for collision avoidance, monitoring vessel traffic, and search-and-rescue operations.
Marispeak receives a cut-down version of AIS Transmissions from one of many providers at intervals of 60 seconds.
Please note that you may experience slow speeds and longer wait times for the vessels to appear on your map and load.
This is due to factors such as Internet data speeds and cellular network congestion, as well as depending on your phone's or tablet's specs.
In your Marispeak settings, you can set the distance of AIS data received. If you do not wish to view vessels outside your area, please ensure you set the AIS distance to 50 km rather than the 500 km range. This option can be found under the More menu at the bottom of the display.
Get location
Maripeak will continually refresh and display your location on the map from the home screen in real time.
If you have manually moved the map to view a different location, pressing the "Get Location" button will automatically return you to your current position.
Wind speed icon
The wind speed icon is at the top of the screen, just slightly right from the centre. This icon displays the current wind speed for your live location.
The button is not clickable and is purely visual.
Weather / Temperature Icon
This weather icon displays the temperature for your current location.
This icon will open a more advanced weather summary for your current location.
"Click here to open map" is highlighted in red. Clicking this will open the open weather map, which displays extensive weather information, forecasts, etc.
Heading / Compass Icon
This icon is located directly beneath the get location icon, which is located at the top left corner of the home screen.
This is a real-time compass/heading feature. However, it will only operate on phones with hardware compatible with compass-type Apps.

The tracker seamlessly connects to our app, allowing you to check your boat's current and last known location with the "Find My Boat" feature.
